tyler casillo

associate head coach and assistant general manager

ABOUT

Tyler Casillo, a Buffalo, NY native, grew up playing hockey for the Cheektowaga Warriors before advancing to play for the Buffalo Regals and the Niagara Whalers of the GOJHL. Following a successful junior career, Tyler played at Erie College before transitioning to coaching in his early twenties.

In his first year of coaching, Tyler guided his U18 team to a sectional final and helped several players advance to the junior ranks. Recognizing his early success, Tyler was offered the head coaching position with his former junior team, the Buffalo Jr. Regals of the GOJHL. In his inaugural season as head coach, Tyler led the Jr. Regals to the best record in franchise history and was named a finalist for Coach of the Year.

Beyond team achievements, Tyler takes the most pride in helping 14 of his players secure NCAA commitments during that season. After his success with the Jr. Regals, Tyler took his coaching talents to California, where he joined the San Diego Sabers of the USPHL. There, he set a franchise record for wins, transforming a team with only 15 wins the previous year into a 33-11-2 powerhouse and earning the franchise's first-ever playoff appearance.

Tyler then moved to Georgia, where he became the Head Coach and GM of the Atlanta Madhatters' USPHL Premier and Elite teams. Under his leadership, the Premier team achieved their first-ever playoff win, while the Elite team posted a franchise-best 27-13-2 record and secured their first-ever national appearance and victory. Tyler now serves as the Associate Head Coach and Assistant General Manager of the West Chester Wolves' NCDC team.

In addition to his coaching roles, Tyler has worked as a scout for the Maine Nordiques in the NAHL and the Twin City Thunder in the NCDC.
