ABOUT
Paul Martone brings more than 12 years of coaching experience to the Wolves, including nine seasons at the NCAA Division III level with programs such as Salem State University and Anna Maria College. Most recently, he spent the last two seasons coaching within the highly respected South Kent School program at both the 18U Prep and 15U AAA levels.
A former junior player for the Boston Junior Bruins during the EJHL and early USPHL era, Martone competed at the national level and was named a league All-Star in 2014. Following a playing career that included time at Salem State University, he transitioned behind the bench and quickly established himself as a coach focused on player development, structure, and preparing athletes for the next level.
Throughout his collegiate coaching career, Martone helped programs capture multiple conference championships, develop All-Stars and Rookie of the Year recipients, and build successful cultures both on and off the ice. His teams also earned multiple GPA awards, reflecting his commitment to developing complete student-athletes.
Growing up around the game through his father — a former Salem State player who also skated in preseason games with the Hartford Whalers organization — Martone’s passion for hockey began on backyard ponds and has evolved into a career dedicated to mentoring young players.
