ABOUT
Quin Ryan grew up in Branchville, NJ, where he began his hockey journey playing roller hockey. At age 10, he strapped on the pads as an ice hockey goalie, but just a year later transitioned to forward—and never looked back.
Throughout his youth hockey career, Quinn competed at every level, from B to AAA. His AAA team advanced to the national championship game, ultimately falling in overtime. He then spent a year playing junior hockey in the EHL before committing to Liberty University in the fall of 2016.
Quinn made an immediate impact in college, earning a spot on SportsCenter’s Top 10 for his highlight-reel Michigan goal. By the end of his freshman year, he had received multiple honors, including ACHA All-Rookie Team, Conference All-Rookie Team, and Conference First Team. Over the next four years, he continued to lead on the ice, earning ACHA First Team selections and a Player of the Year award. In 2019, he was selected to represent Team USA at the World University Games in Russia, where he led the team in points. He graduated in 2021 with an MBA and immediately began his professional career in the ECHL with the Utah Grizzlies.
Quinn played his rookie season in Utah as part of the Colorado Avalanche organization, then went on to spend two seasons with the Worcester Railers in the New York Islanders organization. His strong sophomore campaign earned him an invite to the Bridgeport Islanders’ AHL training camp and preseason. Midway through the year, Quinn signed with a top professional league in Denmark to finish his third and final pro season.
Passionate about developing the next generation of players, Quinn has been running hockey lessons and camps for years. During the 2024–2025 season, he served as Head Coach for the Atlanta Madhatters Elite team and as an Associate Head Coach for the Atlanta Madhatters Premier team. Having transitioned from player to coach, Quinn now channels his experience into helping others reach their goals on and off the ice.
