ABOUT
A native of Fishers, Indiana, Jacob Smulevitch brings a wealth of junior hockey coaching experience to the Wolves U18 Academy. His resume spans multiple levels of the USPHL, including Elite, Premier, and Tier II NCDC. Over the years, he has held key coaching roles with the Columbia Infantry, Charlotte Rush, Charleston Colonials, and Wausau RiverWolves, serving as both an Assistant and Head Coach.
Smulevitch has consistently demonstrated an ability to develop talent and build competitive teams. He most recently served as Head Coach of the Casper Warbirds in the Tier II NCDC before taking the reins of the Wolves’ U18 Academy program. His coaching style emphasizes structure, discipline, and individual skill development—preparing athletes for the physical and mental demands of junior and collegiate hockey.
As a player, Smulevitch manned the blue line for Ball State University (ACHA Division III), where he was known for his physical play and leadership. Over five seasons, he recorded 32 points and more than 180 penalty minutes, showcasing his gritty, team-first approach.
Now leading the Wolves U18 Academy, Jacob is focused on helping players reach their full potential and take the next step in their hockey careers.
