A New Voice Behind the Bench: Les Haggett Takes Over Wolves Premier

The West Chester Wolves are pleased to announce Les Haggett as Head Coach of the Premier team for the 2026-2027 season.

Haggett brings a strong playing and coaching background to West Chester, with experience at the NCAA Division I and professional levels as well as several years developing players in the Greater Philadelphia area.

A native of Norwood, New York, Haggett played four seasons of NCAA Division I hockey at Brown University, serving as assistant captain as a junior and team captain during his senior season. During his time at Brown, the program won an Ivy League Championship and reached the ECAC Final Four.

After college, Haggett went on to play professionally with the Norfolk Admirals in the AHL and the Greenville Growl and Trenton Titans in the ECHL. He was part of the Trenton Titans team that won the Kelly Cup Championship in 2005.

Since his playing career, Haggett has remained involved in the game through coaching and player development. For the past five years, he has coached multiple age groups with the Quakers Youth Ice Hockey Club, working with players at different stages of their development.

Haggett’s approach to coaching focuses on helping players improve their decision-making, accountability, and teamwork while creating an environment where they can continue to grow both on and off the ice.

Outside of coaching, Haggett serves on the Board of Trustees for Ed Snider Youth Hockey & Education, an organization that provides hockey and educational opportunities to young people throughout the Greater Philadelphia region.

Haggett will now lead the Wolves Premier team as the program prepares for the 2026-2027 season at PNY Sports Arena.

The Wolves are excited to welcome Les and his family to the organization and look forward to having him behind the bench this season.
