The West Chester Wolves made a strong statement in their second NCDC Draft, selecting 11 players across both phases to build a foundation of high-end talent and depth for the upcoming season.
In Phase 1, the Wolves focused on youth and skill, starting with 2009-born forward Kayden Hill (Colorado Thunderbirds 15’s) at 8th overall. Hill brings explosive speed, physicality, and a knack for goal scoring. West Chester continued by adding a smart, and skilled two-way center in Benjamin Lombardi (Brunswick School Bruins), a dynamic playmaking forward, Quebec native Milan Chartier (Amos Forestiers U18 AAA), and a very skilled playmaking winger with high hockey IQ in Cade Kinnear (Carolina Jr. Hurricanes 16U).
The Wolves also addressed their blue line with Émile Parent (Rouyn-Noranda Citadelles U17), Jacksen Suttie (Rink Kelowna U17 Prep), and Tanner Penn (LA Jr. Kings 15’s), while netminder Edward Ouellette (Seminaire Saint-Joseph) adds a big and technically sound presence in goal for the future.
Phase 2 added more maturity and experience to the mix. In the first round, West Chester selected 6’3” goaltender Xavier Delisle (Gatineau Flames QMJHL), followed by skilled physical power forward Keegan Garver (Millbrook Mustangs) and two-way center and power forward Jack Jarvis (Iroquois Falls Storm).
“We’re building a team that combines high character with high compete,” said Wolves Head Coach R.C. Lyke. “This draft class gives us a versatile group of young men who want to be here and want to win.”
Associate Head Coach Tyler Casillo echoed that sentiment. “We’ve identified players with strong hockey IQ, upside, and a team-first mentality. These guys fit the mold of what West Chester hockey is all about.”
With a blend of North American reach and high-ceiling prospects, the 2025 draft has set the Wolves up for a promising season in the NCDC.
