Revolution Ice Centre, September 28, 2024 — The West Chester Wolves completed a dominant sweep of the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Knights with a 4-1 victory on Saturday night at Revolution Ice Centre. The win capped off a strong performance by the Wolves, who were led by goaltender Griffin Davis, who stopped 38 shots in the contest.
The Wolves took control early, scoring their first goal on a power play 10 minutes into the first period. Owen Norman found the back of the net off assists from Emil Szepesi and Brayden Sprickman. The Wolves’ power play proved lethal all night, converting three of their four opportunities.

West Chester struck twice in the second period. Seiya Ishida buried another power-play goal at 15:14, assisted again by Sprickman and Szepesi. Just three minutes later, Norman added his second goal of the night, assisted by Harrison Kinne, giving the Wolves a commanding 3-0 lead.
The Knights struggled to stay out of the penalty box, including a game misconduct penalty in the second period for Keanan Pearman, which put them at a significant disadvantage.

Wilkes-Barre Scranton’s offense finally broke through in the third, as Timur Naletov scored at 16:50, assisted by Ethan Ross, to put the Knights on the board. However, the Wolves responded quickly, with Ishida netting his second goal just 15 seconds later, assisted by Norman and Kinne, sealing the 4-1 victory.
While the Knights had opportunities, going 0-for-6 on the power play hurt their chances to make a comeback. Goaltender Max Varner made 20 saves for Wilkes-Barre Scranton but couldn’t match the performance of Davis, whose steady play in net anchored the Wolves' defense.
