The West Chester Wolves NCDC team made a historic debut, securing a 4-1 victory against the P.A.L. Junior Islanders in their first-ever regular season game. The Wolves dominated both ends of the ice, with Anton Berg netting the first NCDC goal in franchise history, and Seiya Ishida from Tomokamai, Japan, leading the way with two third-period goals.

The Wolves opened the scoring midway through the first period when Berg found the back of the net at 12:42, assisted by Cooper Swan and Emil Szepesi. This goal marked a significant moment as the first regular season goal in West Chester Wolves NCDC history.

In the second period, after the Islanders tied the game early, Vincent Cicco gave the Wolves a lead they wouldn’t relinquish, scoring a power play goal at 8:55, assisted by Swan and Nathan Kinne. Goalie Sam Davis was a standout, stopping 38 of 39 shots to keep the Wolves ahead.

The third period saw Seiya Ishida shine, scoring twice to extend West Chester’s lead. His first goal came at 7:56 off assists from Owen Norman and Ethan Becnel, and he followed up with another at 11:25, again assisted by Norman and Kinne. The Wolves' defense stayed strong, shutting down the Islanders’ power play on all five of their chances.

The Wolves outshot P.A.L. 37-39, and Davis’ stellar performance between the pipes was critical in the Wolves’ season-opening win.
