The West Chester Wolves U18 team remains undefeated at the THF Showcase after a commanding 6-3 victory over the Lincoln Stars in their third game of the weekend. Despite it being their second game of the day, the Wolves showed no signs of slowing down, controlling the pace from the opening faceoff.
The first period saw the Wolves jump out to a 3-1 lead, with Socrates Kelly opening the scoring at 8:25, assisted by Markus Lunski and Luke Tomasic. The Wolves quickly responded to Lincoln’s lone goal of the frame when Ivan Golovko converted a power-play chance, followed by Quinn Simmons adding another less than two minutes later.
In the second period, the Wolves continued their dominance. Blake Berthiaume netted the game-winning goal at 5:59, while Lincoln's Samuel Kline managed a short-handed marker, cutting the lead to 4-3. However, that was as close as the Stars would get, as the Wolves clamped down defensively.
The third period saw the Wolves secure their victory with a power-play goal by Chase Kerr at 14:45, assisted by Jacob Heron and Luke Tomasic. Berthiaume added his second of the game at 7:30 to seal the 6-3 win.
Goaltender Cody McCabe stood tall in net, making key saves when needed to keep the Wolves in control throughout the contest.
