Late Surge and OT Winner Propel Wolves NCDC Past First Place Hitmen

The West Chester Wolves NCDC team toppled the Atlantic Division-leading Jersey Hitmen in a thrilling 2-1 overtime battle on Saturday, November 9, at PNY Sports Arena. The Wolves' resilience and grit shone through in a tense, low-scoring battle as they secured a hard-fought win.
The game opened with the Hitmen leading early in the first period. Patrick Walsh found the back of the net off an assist from Tyler Fogu at 12:44, putting the Wolves on the defensive early. Both teams then dug in, each looking to control the game with disciplined play and solid defense.
The Wolves found their equalizer late in the second period, as Owen Norman capitalized at the 19:49 mark with a timely goal assisted by Brayden Sprickman and Nico Pasquale, keeping West Chester in the fight.
With the score tied at 1-1, both teams battled through the third period without finding the game-winner, forcing the matchup into sudden-death overtime. Just 52 seconds into OT, Charles Becnel lifted the Wolves to victory, scoring off assists from Pasquale and Norman. Goaltender Griffin Davis stood tall in net, stopping 31 shots to hold off the Hitmen and secure the Wolves’ thrilling win.
