Game Recap: West Chester Wolves vs. Jersey Hitmen (Feb 28, 2025)
The West Chester Wolves fell to the Jersey Hitmen 5-2 in a penalty-filled matchup at Ice Vault Rink 2. The Hitmen struck early, scoring twice in the first period and adding a power-play goal in the second. West Chester responded with goals from Owen Norman and Joshua Swan, but Jersey controlled the game with two more goals in the third.
Nicholas Hubbard made 48 saves for the Wolves, while Jersey's Nick Bunch stopped 33 shots. West Chester went 0-for-2 on the power play, while the Hitmen capitalized twice on seven opportunities. A rough third period saw multiple misconducts, including a referee substitution due to injury.

The West Chester Wolves shut out the Jersey Hitmen with a dominant 3-0 victory at PNY Sports Arena. Brayden Sprickman opened the scoring with a power-play goal just over three minutes into the first period, followed by a goal from Cole Jackson at 10:49. Andrew Iwinski extended the lead in the second period, sealing the Wolves’ win.
Goaltender Griffin Davis was outstanding, stopping all 35 shots he faced for the shutout. The Wolves' penalty kill remained perfect, holding the Hitmen scoreless on five power-play opportunities. A physical game saw a combined 157 penalty minutes, including multiple fights in the final seconds.
A strong defensive effort and disciplined special teams secured an impressive win for West Chester.
