The West Chester Wolves Academy is proud to announce the signing of 15-year-old defenseman Slavomir Zec to the u16 Academy roster.

Standing at 6’2” and 215 lbs, the left-shot blueliner from Slovakia brings size, skill, and a proven international pedigree to the Wolves.

Zec spent the 2023–24 season with HK Levice u16 and u18 in Slovakia, posting 14 points in 25 games at the u16 level before earning call-ups to u18 play. Last season, he skated with Pelicans u16 in Finland, notching 11 points in 21 Mestis league games and gaining valuable playoff experience.

“Slavomir is a big, mobile defenseman who isn’t afraid to play a physical game,” said u16 Academy Head Coach Brennan Luckanish. “He has the ability to shut down top forwards while also contributing offensively, and we’re excited to see him develop here in West Chester.”

The Wolves Academy continues to add high-end talent from around the globe, and Zec is ready to make his mark when the season begins.
