The West Chester Wolves are thrilled to announce the addition of Lindsay Tilley, founder of Hockey Edge Agility Training (HEAT), as the team’s new Skating Skills Coach for the upcoming season. Tilley brings a wealth of experience from figure skating, boasting a decorated career as a U.S. Figure Skating (USFS) triple gold medalist in Freestyle, Moves in the Field, and Ice Dancing. Her edge control and explosive skating expertise will be a valuable asset for the Wolves this upcoming season.
Lindsay’s impressive resume spans over 15 years of coaching competitive figure skating, holding Professional Skaters Association (PSA) ratings in Freestyle, Moves in the Field, and Hockey 2. She’s not only dedicated to mastering the fundamentals of skating but also to building powerful, agile athletes who can dominate on the ice.
Tilley’s philosophy revolves around proper body alignment and edge control, essential elements for any skater—figure or hockey. Her approach prioritizes strength and precision, with a focus on the muscle groups critical for in-game explosiveness and breakaway movement. Her proven techniques will help Wolves players sharpen their skating skills and maximize their potential on the ice.
"Lindsay’s track record speaks for itself," said Head Coach R.C. Lyke. "She has an incredible ability to break down the fundamentals of skating and push athletes to improve in ways that directly translate to hockey performance. We’re excited to have her work with our players and help elevate our game."
In addition to her figure skating background, Tilley’s experience extends to the hockey world. She has served as a skating consultant for the Metropolitan Riveters of the Professional Hockey Federation (PHF) and was selected to be part of the NHL Coaches Association (NHLCA) Female Coaches Development Program. As a member of USFS, PSA, and USA Hockey, she brings a unique skill set that perfectly complements the Wolves' coaching staff.
With Lindsay Tilley on board, the Wolves are confident that their players will skate faster, cut sharper, and move more efficiently than ever before. Her expertise will be instrumental in turning the Wolves into an even more formidable force on the ice this season.
