This past Monday, the West Chester Wolves NCDC team took part in a remarkable community service event, lending their time and effort to support the Red Corner Benefit, a local non-profit charity dedicated to raising funds and awareness for children battling cancer. The Red Corner Benefit, which has been an annual tradition for 15 years, draws over 4,000 attendees each year. The Wolves’ players and staff spent the day assisting with the breakdown of the event's fundraising site, completing a task that typically takes volunteers two weeks to accomplish.

"Super proud of the guys today," said the Wolves' Associate Head Coach Tyler Casillo. "We were able to make a huge difference in just a few hours. It’s amazing what teamwork and dedication can achieve."

The Red Corner Benefit is an inspiring initiative founded on the idea of creating a community-driven event to support local children fighting cancer. With activities like live music, food, face painting, and even a professional fireworks display, the fundraiser provides a fun and memorable day for families while raising significant funds for a child undergoing cancer treatment. This year, as in every year, a child in need was selected as the beneficiary with the help of past recipient families.

The West Chester Wolves' involvement in the Red Corner Benefit reflects their commitment to supporting both their hockey and broader community. By stepping in to help during a crucial time, they demonstrated the teamwork and resilience that define their organization. The Wolves' values align closely with the Benefit’s mission of uniting the community to support those in need, and their hard work clearing the site in record time highlights not only their physical abilities but also their compassion and dedication to making a meaningful difference off the ice.
