The West Chester Wolves Academy 16U squad is back in action for their second game of the 2025–26 season, facing off against the New Jersey Hitmen this Saturday afternoon. Puck drop is scheduled for 5:15 PM at the Ice Vault Arena in Wayne, NJ.
The Wolves come into the matchup with a talented roster that blends returners and fresh faces. Defenders Devyn Quan and Nolan Schubert, along with forward Preston Handy, bring leadership and experience to the lineup. Coming into tonight’s matchup, keep an eye on Sam Rochette — after a stellar season where he tallied 37 points in 39 games, Rochette enters this game riding not just off numbers, but confidence and consistency. He’s someone who can change momentum in a shift, whether by driving the play, finding seams in the defense, or setting up teammates. Expect him to be active in all zones, making plays off down-low and supporting the forecheck.
Head Coach Brennan Luckanish is confident in his group’s ability to rise to the challenge, “We are looking to have a bounce back week this week, we worked heavily on our systems and compete level. The Jersey Hitmen are a top team at every level, so we expect it to be a great matchup.”
