The West Chester Wolves Premier team took on the Hershey Cubs last night at the historic Hersheypark Arena, where they showcased a determined effort but ultimately fell 3-1. The Wolves put up a strong fight, highlighted by relentless offense and solid goaltending, but were unable to overcome the early deficit.

The Cubs jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period, with Zachary Ruffenach striking first just 1:22 into the game, followed by Filip Piatkowski at 9:06. Hershey’s pressure continued into the second, as Ruffenach scored again at 1:27, pushing the lead to 3-0.

In the third period, the Wolves found their breakthrough. At 5:33, Aidan Urie set up Breydon Webster, who got a shot past Hershey’s goaltender, Noah Pfab, for West Chester’s only goal of the night. The Wolves made a late push, outshooting the Cubs 17-3 in the final period and generating multiple power-play chances, but Pfab’s strong performance in net kept them at bay, recording 45 saves.

Despite a valiant effort, including a combined 20 saves by Wolves goaltenders Anthony Golden and John Feeley, West Chester couldn’t bridge the gap. The Wolves’ discipline and defensive resilience were on display, but costly penalties and missed power-play opportunities ultimately hampered their comeback effort.
