Sept, 26th: West Chester Wolves U18 Team vs TI Selects Premier
The West Chester Wolves Academy U18 picked up another strong victory this weekend, defeating the TI Selects Premier U18 by a 5–1 scoreline to improve their season record to 7–3.
First Period
The Wolves wasted no time setting the tone. At 13:51, #10 Miles Shields opened the scoring, assisted by #28 Cooper Rodgers. Just minutes later, #44 Alexander Rapport doubled the lead at 3:07, with #14 Hunter Richards earning the helper. The Selects got on the board late in the period, however, as #97 Taurai Zamchiya buried a goal with just 27 seconds remaining, assisted by #23 Ronan Ivins, cutting the Wolves’ lead to 2–1 heading into intermission.
Second Period
West Chester came out strong again in the middle frame. #91 Corbin Vierkoetter restored the two-goal cushion at 7:35, finishing off a setup from #18 Ronnie Felikian. Then, in the final seconds of the period, #6 Gavin Andersen capitalized at 25.2 seconds left on the clock, assisted once again by Rodgers, extending the Wolves’ advantage to 4–1.
Third Period
The Wolves sealed the game midway through the third. #67 Anthony DiCamillo struck at 9:23 off a feed from #14 Richards, capping off a balanced offensive effort.
Between the Pipes
Wolves goaltender #31 Easton Andersen was steady, turning aside 11 of 12 shots faced. At the other end, Selects Premier’s #79 Nathan Carr faced heavy pressure, stopping 29 of 34 shots.
With the 5–1 victory, the Wolves continue their strong start to the season and improve to 7–3.
