West Chester, PA — The West Chester Wolves showcased a balanced attack and strong defensive effort to secure a 4-1 victory over the Jersey Hitmen at PNY Sports Arena on Friday evening.

The Wolves set the tone early, with forward Bryan Weissler opening the scoring just 1:38 into the first period, assisted by captain Harrison Kinne. Midway through the period, the Wolves capitalized on a power play as Emil Szepesi extended the lead to 2-0, with Logan Lambrecht and Sean Tyrie contributing assists.

Jersey responded at 15:09, as James Chase cut the deficit to 2-1, assisted by Aiden Ryan and Lucas DiChiara. However, that would be the only blemish on an otherwise stellar night for Wolves goaltender Griffin Davis, who made 39 saves and stymied the Hitmen's power play on five opportunities.

In the second period, the Wolves' special teams continued to shine. Seiya Ishida buried a power-play goal with precision at 19:46, off feeds from Brady Huang and Brayden Sprickman, giving West Chester a 3-1 advantage heading into the final frame.

Joshua Swan sealed the win late in the third period, netting an even-strength goal at 17:22, assisted by Maddox Goudie and Lambrecht.

West Chester’s penalty kill was equally impressive, shutting down all five of the Hitmen’s power-play chances. The Wolves also generated offensive momentum from their own opportunities, going 2-for-8 on the man advantage.
