HAMILTON, NJ – The West Chester Wolves delivered an impressive 4-0 victory against the Mercer Chiefs at Ice Land Skating Center on Friday night. This win was a complete team effort, showcasing stellar goaltending, disciplined defense, and timely scoring.

The game remained scoreless through the first period despite the Wolves' early pressure and solid play from Mercer netminder Dominick Gatto, who turned aside 15 shots. Both teams traded penalties, but neither capitalized on power-play opportunities.

In the second period, West Chester broke the deadlock at 11:02 when forward Sean Tyrie scored off assists from Seiya Ishida and Drew McCandless. Less than three minutes later, alternate captain Connor Stokes doubled the lead, converting a feed from Cole Kerr and Bryan Weissler.

The Wolves maintained their momentum into the final frame. Maddox Goudie extended the lead at 7:53 with an unassisted effort, showcasing individual skill to beat the Mercer defense. Later, Charles Becnel sealed the game at 15:03, with assists from Joshua Swan and Nico Pasquale.

West Chester's defense, led by goaltender Griffin Davis, stifled Mercer’s offensive attempts. Davis stopped all 27 shots he faced, earning his first shutout of the season. Despite Mercer's six power-play opportunities, the Wolves’ penalty kill unit remained perfect, demonstrating composure and teamwork.
