The West Chester Wolves delivered a resounding 7-1 victory over the Brooklyn Aviators in a Premier Division matchup, controlling the game from start to finish. With stellar offense and rock-solid goaltending from Anthony "AJ" Golden, the Wolves surged past the Aviators at their home rink in Brooklyn.
The Wolves wasted no time asserting their dominance, netting two goals in the opening minutes of the first period. Forward Alexander Couture opened the scoring just 1:20 into the game with assists from Nathan Lavallee and Dante Santangelo. Less than a minute later, Breydon Webster doubled the lead, with Luca Hobbs and Andrew Farley providing the assists.
Brooklyn Aviators' goaltender Chris Giglio faced a barrage of shots, but it was his team’s inability to capitalize on power play opportunities that truly kept them on the back foot. The Wolves maintained their momentum in the second period, with Thomas Normandin scoring shorthanded at 2:28, capitalizing on a misstep by the Aviators' defense. Yianni Tsatsoulis and Andrew Farley picked up assists on the play.
The Aviators managed to break through when Joseph Namyotov scored Brooklyn's lone goal at 4:07 in the second, assisted by Alex Kloor and Matthew Touchette. However, it wasn’t enough to shift the game’s momentum as West Chester added another late second-period goal from Titus Keyes, who received a slick feed from Max McKay and Jacob Emmanuel to make it 4-1 heading into the third.
In the third period, the Wolves sealed the deal with three more goals. Aidan Urie’s goal at 14:19 was followed swiftly by Titus Keyes' second goal just 19 seconds later, assisted by Emmanuel once again. Will McLaughlin finished off the scoring with a strong finish at 17:03, with assists from Yianni Tsatsoulis and Elliot Weiss.
Despite multiple power-play opportunities, both teams were unable to convert with the man advantage, with Brooklyn going 0-for-4 and West Chester 0-for-3.
Goaltender AJ Golden stood tall in net, making 36 saves to secure the win for West Chester. Giglio, despite a valiant effort in the crease for Brooklyn, stopped 30 of 37 shots but couldn’t hold off the Wolves' relentless offense.
