Wolves Premier Fall in Overtime Thriller to Wilkes-Barre Scranton Knights

In a tightly contested matchup at the Revolution Ice Centre, the West Chester Wolves Premier team battled hard but fell 3-2 in overtime against the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Knights on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
The first period saw both teams locked in a defensive battle with no goals on the board. The Wolves struck first in the second period when Luca Hobbs lit the lamp twice in quick succession, scoring at 12:31, assisted by Couture and Weiss, and again at 13:25 with an assist from Urie. However, the Knights responded at 16:33 with a goal from Okasick Diller to close the gap to 2-1.
In the third period, Wilkes-Barre tied it up on the power play with a goal by Francione at 8:10, setting the stage for a tense overtime. Despite the Wolves' best efforts, Matsudaira netted the game-winner for the Knights at 3:13 in OT.
Goaltender Wiltshire was solid for the Wolves, stopping 27 of 30 shots, while the Wolves fired 28 shots at the Knights' net, but couldn't find the winner.
