Wolves Re-sign Local Defenseman Declan Herr to u18 Academy

The West Chester Wolves are excited to announce the re-signing of 16-year-old defenseman Declan Herr to their u18 Academy roster. Born and raised in West Chester, PA, Herr is a right-shot blueliner standing 5’8” and weighing 146 lbs.

Declan has had a strong developmental journey within Philadelphia-area youth teams, including the Philadelphia Little Flyers 15U AAA and an impressive 16U AAA season with the West Chester Wolves. He also brings experience from his high school team at Henderson High, showcasing solid two-way play and a high compete level.

“Declan is a smart, mobile defenseman with a great work ethic,” said u18 Academy Head Coach Jacob Smulevitch. “He’s made steady progress year after year and fits perfectly into our system. We’re excited to watch him continue to grow in our program.”

The Wolves u18 Academy looks to build on last season’s momentum, and Herr is ready to contribute as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
