The West Chester Wolves Premier team proudly announces that defenseman Tyrone Oxlade has been selected to compete for Team Australia in the upcoming 2025 IIHF U20 World Championship Division II Group B tournament. The event will take place in Belgrade, Serbia, from January 19 to January 25, 2025, and Australia will face off against Belgium, Iceland, Israel, Serbia, and Spain.

Oxlade has made a significant impact in his first season with the Wolves. While primarily focusing on defensive responsibilities, Oxlade showcased his offensive potential earlier this season, netting his first goal during the Wolves’ September 20 game against the Palm Beach Typhoon.

“Tyrone has been a strong presence for us on the back end this season,” said Wolves Premier Head Coach Brian Leonard. “His selection to Team Australia is a testament to his hard work and dedication, and we’re thrilled to see him compete on such a large stage.”

The IIHF U20 World Championship Division II Group B serves as a pivotal stage for emerging hockey talent, and Oxlade’s selection highlights the depth of international talent developing within the Wolves organization.

Congratulations to Tyrone Oxlade on this incredible achievement!
