The West Chester Wolves U16 Academy kicked off Day 1 of the THF Showcase in dominant fashion, cruising to a 12-0 victory over the Mercer Chiefs 16 Prep team. The Wolves' relentless offense fired 60 shots on goal, while their defense shut down the Chiefs, allowing only four shots throughout the game.

West Chester’s scoring spree began in the first period, with Trace Whitlock notching the game-winner just over 10 minutes in, assisted by Declan Herr. Whitlock struck again minutes later with help from Lucas Hill and Viktor Gasparovic. The Wolves added three more goals in the period, including a last-second tally by Brandon Kim, making it 5-0 heading into the second.

The Wolves continued their offensive barrage in the second period with Kim scoring his second of the night, extending the lead to 6-0. The third period saw West Chester score six more goals, with standout performances from Clayton Conrad, who netted two, and Whitlock, who completed a hat trick. Noah Kay closed out the scoring with a goal in the final second of the game.

Goaltenders Robert Cavalcante and Easton Andersen combined for the shutout, stopping all four of Mercer’s attempts. The Wolves’ penalty kill was flawless, allowing no chances for the Chiefs despite a few penalties throughout the game.
