Wolves U18 Team Achieves #1 Ranking in THF After Perfect Showcase

The West Chester Wolves U18 Academy team has made headlines as they have officially been ranked #1 in the Tier 1 Hockey Federation (THF) as of September 23, 2024. This achievement follows their flawless performance at the Pittsburgh THF Showcase, where they went a perfect 4-0-0, showcasing their skill, teamwork, and resilience on the ice. The Wolves currently hold a KRACH score of 134, reflecting their impressive standing and performance against tough competition.

Showcase Success

The Wolves' dominance began with a 2-0 shutout victory against Biggby Coffee AAA in their opening game. The team controlled the pace throughout, with Ivan Golovko and Luke Tomasic each contributing goals in the second period. Goaltender Jacob Aranda was stellar in net, making 22 saves and securing the shutout.

In a thrilling overtime matchup against the Colorado Thunderbirds, the Wolves fought back after trailing and pulled off a dramatic 4-3 victory. After trading leads, Brady Wilson clinched the win with a game-winning goal in overtime, demonstrating the Wolves’ tenacity and ability to perform under pressure.

The Wolves continued their winning streak with a commanding 6-3 victory over the Lincoln Stars. The team exhibited a relentless offensive effort, jumping to an early lead and maintaining control throughout the game, thanks to impressive performances from players like Socrates Kelly and Blake Berthiaume.

The showcase concluded with another shutout, as the Wolves defeated the Rose City Pats 3-0. With key contributions from Cooper Rodgers, Dmitri Golovko, and Sawyer Howe, along with a stellar performance from goaltender Keegan Carswell, the Wolves capped off the weekend on a high note.
