Wolves Academy Set for PPHL Playoff Weekend in New Hampshire

The West Chester Wolves Academy is headed north for postseason play as both the U16 & U18 teams prepare to compete in the Power Prep Hockey League Playoffs, February 14–16 in Hudson, New Hampshire.

After months of development and competitive play, the Wolves will enter the playoff weekend focused on consistency and execution. With multiple games scheduled over a short period, the tournament will challenge depth, discipline, and the ability to manage each game as it comes — areas both groups have worked on throughout the season.

The U16 Wolves open their playoff run Saturday morning against Bishop’s College before closing out the day with a matchup against Ontario Hockey Academy. They’ll wrap up the weekend Sunday evening against the Mountain Kings, aiming to carry momentum through every shift.

The U18 Wolves begin their postseason Saturday afternoon against Cyclones Academy, followed by a prime-time battle with Hill Academy. Sunday’s matchup against the Mountain Kings will close out the weekend as the group looks to finish strong and impose their identity late in the tournament.

U18 Head Coach Jacob Smulevitch emphasized the team’s mindset heading into the weekend, “This group has put in the work all season and earned the opportunity to compete in meaningful games. The focus is on playing Wolves hockey — managing details, playing fast, and staying connected as a group when the pressure ramps up.”

U16 Head Coach Zach Cappelli echoed that confidence in his group, “We’ve grown a lot over the course of the year, and this weekend is about trusting our habits. If we stay committed to our structure and compete level, we’ll give ourselves a chance every game.”

With postseason stakes on the line, the Wolves Academy heads to Hudson ready to compete, represent the crest, and embrace the challenge ahead.
