Wolves NCDC Bounce Back, Triumph Over Hitmen in OT Thriller

The West Chester Wolves NCDC team battled it out against the Jersey Hitmen in a close game at Ice Vault Rink 3, coming away with a thrilling 2-1 victory in overtime. This win marks another competitive showing for the Wolves as they overcame penalty trouble and an equally determined Jersey Hitmen team.
After a scoreless first two periods, the Wolves found the net first in the third period. At 11:57, Owen Norman converted with assists from Emil Szepesi and Jacob Heron, giving West Chester a 1-0 lead. However, the Hitmen quickly responded at 16:40, with Ty Oller scoring a power-play goal off assists from Patrick Walsh and Derek Tremblay, leveling the game at 1-1.
The match headed to overtime, where Roman Cicco clinched the victory for the Wolves just 31 seconds into the extra frame. Assisted by Norman and Aaron Bleier, Cicco’s timely goal secured the hard-fought win for West Chester.
Goaltender Griffin Davis delivered a standout performance, turning away 31 shots and keeping the Wolves in contention, particularly during penalty kills as the team conceded nine penalties totaling 18 minutes. Meanwhile, the Hitmen were also penalized six times, amassing 23 penalty minutes.
