The West Chester Wolves NCDC team continues to make noise across the league, as Captain Harrison Kinne has been named NCDC Defenseman of the Year following a standout 2025-26 campaign.

Kinne, a Swampscott, MA native, anchored the Wolves’ blue line all season long with a steady and reliable two-way presence. The 6’3” defenseman recorded 6 goals and 18 assists for 24 points in 37 games, while consistently matching up against top competition and playing in all situations.

Beyond the numbers, Kinne’s leadership as captain played a major role in the Wolves’ success this season. His poise, physicality, and hockey IQ helped establish one of the division’s strongest defensive cores and set the standard for the locker room.

Head Coach and General Manager R.C. Lyke praised Kinne’s impact both on and off the ice.

“Harrison is the definition of a complete defenseman and an even better leader. He competes every night, plays big minutes in every situation, and leads by example. This recognition is well deserved and speaks to the type of player and person he is,” said Lyke.

Associate Head Coach Tyler Casillo echoed that sentiment, emphasizing Kinne’s consistency and presence throughout the season.

“Harrison brought stability to our team all year. He defends hard, moves the puck efficiently, and has the ability to contribute offensively when neede. His leadership as captain elevated our entire group, and we couldn’t be more proud of him,” said Casillo.

Kinne’s season adds to an already exciting milestone, as he recently committed to Plymouth State University (NCAA Division III) for the 2026-27 season, where he will continue both his academic and hockey career.

For the Wolves, Kinne’s recognition is another sign of the program’s continued growth and ability to develop high-level talent ready for the next step.
