The West Chester Wolves are proud to announce the tendering of defenseman Charles Wahren for the 2026-27 NCDC season.

A 6-foot-2, 220-pound right-shot defenseman from Toms River, New Jersey, Wahren brings a physical presence, strong defensive instincts, and valuable experience from some of the top youth programs in the country.

Most recently, Wahren skated for the Nashville Jr. Predators 18U AAA program, where he recorded 19 points (6G, 13A) in 50 games while competing against elite national competition. He also appeared in the T1EHL, adding two points in 16 regular season games before contributing two more points during the playoffs.

Throughout his development path, Wahren has gained experience at multiple levels, including stops with Seacoast Performance Academy, Oakmoor Academy, the New Jersey Rockets, and the Hudson Havoc of the USPHL Premier. His combination of size, strength, and mobility makes him a difficult player to play against in all three zones.

“Charles is a big, steady, physical defenseman who plays with an edge and competes hard every shift. He is another high character young man who brings an extremely strong work ethic and compete level to our Wolves program ,” said Wolves Head Coach and General Manager R.C. Lyke. “He is an extremely coachable young man who has the size and tools to be a steady presence in our lineup, and we believe his best hockey is still ahead of him. We're excited to welcome him to West Chester and help him continue his development.”

The Wolves organization would like to welcome Charles and his family to West Chester and look forward to seeing him patrol the blue line at PNY Sports Arena this fall.
