The West Chester Wolves NCDC have announced the tendering of forward Lucas Gonzalez, adding another local, high-upside piece to the organization’s growing pipeline.
A native of Bensalem, Pennsylvania, Gonzalez is an 18-year-old left-shot forward who has developed through a strong mix of AAA hockey and high school competition. Most recently, he competed with Black Bear Academy 18U AAA, where he continued to show consistent offensive production and a reliable two-way presence. Over the 2025–26 season, Gonzalez recorded 32 points in 41 games at the 18U AAA level, along with 11 points in 20 THF games.
Head Coach & GM R.C. Lyke highlighted Gonzalez’s skating ability and offensive intelligence, “Lucas is an excellent young forward who has high skating ability mixed with a strong hockey IQ that allows him to make plays and score goals at a high pace consistently. Lucas has a very strong work ethic and compete level that we feel will translate very well.”
Prior to that, Gonzalez skated with Philadelphia Revolution 16U AAA and Philadelphia Flyers Elite 15U AAA, while also producing at the high school level with Holy Ghost Prep and Bensalem High School. His progression across multiple levels highlights his adaptability, hockey IQ, and commitment to development.
Associate Head Coach & Assistant GM Tyler Casillo emphasized Gonzalez’s versatility and awareness, “Lucas is a high-IQ player that can play in every situation. He excels at making plays with pace and finding the white areas of the ice. One of those players that makes the game easier for his teammates because of how well he reads and anticipates plays.”
Gonzalez brings a competitive edge, strong puck skills, and a scorer’s mindset that fits the Wolves’ identity. The organization looks forward to continuing his development as he takes the next step toward junior hockey and college opportunities.
