The West Chester Wolves NCDC are proud to announce the tendering of goaltender Basil Hemberger for the 2026-27 season.
A Chester Springs, Pennsylvania native, Hemberger joins the Wolves after developing through some of the top prep and AAA hockey programs in the region, including The Lawrenceville School, Philadelphia Revolution, and Brookline Whalers. Standing at 6’2” and 194 pounds, the left-catching goaltender brings size, athleticism, and composure between the pipes.

During the 2025-26 season at Lawrenceville, Hemberger posted a .908 save percentage against top prep school competition while continuing to establish himself as one of the premier young goaltenders in the area. His ability to track pucks, control rebounds, and make key saves in high-pressure moments made him a highly sought-after addition for the Wolves.
“Basil is a big, strong, and athletic goalie who moves well and has strong rebound control,” said Wolves Head Coach & GM R.C. Lyke. “His ability to make timely saves in games will be a huge help to our team this year in the net. Basil was one of the top goalies in prep hockey last year and has a good amount of NCAA interest already. Basil is another young man who has great character and an extremely strong work ethic and compete level.”
Hemberger becomes another important piece of the Wolves’ 2026-27 roster as the organization continues building a competitive group for the upcoming NCDC season.
