The West Chester Wolves NCDC are proud to announce that forward Dimitrij Haberling has signed a professional contract with Eisbären Regensburg of Germany’s DEL2, marking a major milestone in his hockey career.

A native of Berlin, Germany, Haberling brings his game full circle—returning to his home country to begin his professional journey after developing through both the German junior system and North American junior hockey. The 6’0”, right-shot center split time during the 2025-26 season between the Jersey Hitmen and the West Chester Wolves, appearing in 49 NCDC games and continuing to show his ability to produce offensively while playing a responsible two-way game.

Haberling’s path has been defined by steady progression. Coming up through the Eisbären Juniors Berlin program, he consistently produced at the U17 and U20 levels, including multiple 40+ point seasons in Germany’s top junior league (DNL). His transition to North America added another layer to his game, adapting to the physicality, pace, and structure of the NCDC.

Head Coach and General Manager R.C. Lyke praised Haberling’s development and what this opportunity represents.

“Dimitrij earned this opportunity through his work ethic and commitment to improving every day. He’s a smart, reliable centerman who can impact the game by making plays and creating scoring opportunities for him and his linemates. We’re proud to have been a part of his journey and excited to see him take this next step in his career.”

Associate Head Coach Tyler Casillo echoed that sentiment, highlighting Haberling’s adaptability and growth.

“Dimitrij came in and quickly adjusted to the North American game. He competes hard, thinks the game at a high level, and has the skill to make plays in key moments. This is a well-deserved opportunity, and we’re confident he’ll succeed at the pro level.”

Haberling now joins Eisbären Regensburg, a respected club in Germany’s DEL2, as he begins his professional career in one of Europe’s top development leagues.

Haberling becomes the 3rd Wolves player in two years to sign a professional hockey contract. His signing continues the Wolves’ mission of advancing players to the next level, reinforcing the program’s commitment to development and progression both in North America and internationally.
