Kushchev Commits to the Pack - Wolves Add Dynamic Forward for Next Season

The West Chester Wolves NCDC team has announced the tendering of forward Yaroslav Kushchev for the upcoming 2026-27 season, adding a dynamic offensive talent to the organization’s future core.

A native of Moscow, Russia, Kushchev brings a proven scoring touch and high-end skillset to the Wolves lineup. The 5’11” forward put together an outstanding 2025-26 campaign with Elite Hockey Academy, tallying 75 points (44G, 31A) in 64 games at the 18U AAA level, while also producing across multiple leagues including the AYHL, T1EHL, and PPHL. His ability to create offense, attack with speed, and finish around the net makes him a dangerous addition heading into next season.

Kushchev has also gained valuable international development experience, previously playing within the Okanagan Hockey Academy system in Austria, where he consistently produced at both the U18 and U20 levels. His track record of performance against top competition highlights his readiness to take the next step at the junior level.

“Yaroslav is a high-skill forward who can impact the game offensively in a lot of different ways,” said Head Coach & GM R.C. Lyke. “He has great instincts with the puck and the ability to make plays in tight areas. We’re excited about what he brings to our lineup moving forward.”

Associate Head Coach & Assistant GM Tyler Casillo echoed that sentiment, emphasizing Kushchev’s upside and competitiveness.

“He’s a player that competes hard and has the skill to back it up,” said Casillo. “You look at his production this past season, and it speaks for itself. We believe he has a lot more to give, and we’re looking forward to helping him continue his development here in West Chester.”

With the addition of Kushchev, the Wolves continue to build a competitive roster focused on skill, pace, and development as they prepare for the 2026-27 NCDC season.
