The West Chester Wolves NCDC are proud to announce that forward Seiya Ishida has signed a professional contract with H.C. TOCHIGI Nikko Icebucks of the Asia League Ice Hockey, marking a major milestone in his hockey journey.

A native of Japan, Ishida joined the Wolves at the start of the 2024–25 season, tallying 19 points (7G, 12A) in 31 games and bringing high-end vision and skill to the forward group. He finished the NCDC season with the Seacoast Spartans, recording a combined 30 points in 52 games between both teams.

“Seiya brought a relentless work ethic and a team-first mindset every single day,” said Wolves Head Coach and General Manager R.C. Lyke. “His speed and IQ stood out immediately, and he earned this opportunity through consistent growth and leadership.”

Before arriving in the NCDC, Ishida played for the South Shore Kings and developed through Komazawa Tomakomai High School in Japan. At just 20 years old, the 5’9” left-shot forward now returns home to continue his career at the professional level.

“We’re incredibly proud of Seiya,” added Associate Head Coach and Assistant GM Tyler Casillo. “He embraced the grind of the NCDC and elevated his game. His journey is just getting started, and we’ll be rooting for him every step of the way in Japan.”

Ishida becomes the first Wolves NCDC player to sign directly with a professional team, a historic moment in the organization’s young history and a testament to the program’s developmental model.

Congratulations, Seiya, and good luck with the Nikko Icebucks!
