The Pack is howling because the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) has named three West Chester Wolves to its Atlantic Division Players of the Week following dominant performances from September 29 through October 5.
Leading the charge up front, forward Max McKay was unstoppable — posting four points in two games. The Rochester, NY native tallied two assists in a 12–3 blowout win, then buried two goals the following night in a 5–0 shutout. McKay now sits at 10 points in 7 games, continuing his red-hot start to the season.
On the blue line, defenseman Ryunosuke Shirozu was a force at both ends. The Tomakomai, Japan product racked up five points on the weekend — two goals and two assists in the opener, followed by another goal in the second matchup — while finishing +6 overall. Shirozu has been a key two-way presence, now with 8 points in 7 games.
Between the pipes, goaltender Elijah Wiltshire was lights out. The Wolves netminder stopped all 40 shots he faced in Sunday’s 5–0 victory, earning his first shutout of the season and completing a weekend sweep for West Chester.
Three players of the week, one pack — and the Wolves are making noise early in their 2nd season.
