The West Chester Wolves announced the signing of Drew McCandless, a defenseman from Victor, NY, for the upcoming 2024-2025 season.

This past season, McCandless played for the Twin City Ice Mavericks in the 18U AAA league, where he recorded 23 points in 46 games. His consistent play and leadership on the ice were instrumental in his team's success.

McCandless' hockey journey began with Victor High in the USHS-NY, where he played during the 2019-20 and 2021-22 seasons. His performance with Victor High showcased his defensive skills and ability to contribute offensively, tallying 14 points in 20 games during the 2021-22 season. Additionally, his time with the Rochester Coalition at both the 16U AA and 18U AA levels further honed his abilities, culminating in a strong playoff performance with the Coalition's 18U AA team in 2022-23.

Head Coach R.C. Lyke expressed his enthusiasm about the addition of McCandless to the Wolves' roster: "Drew is a remarkable young talent with a bright future ahead of him. His size, skill, and hockey IQ make him a valuable asset to our team. We are excited to see him grow and develop with us this season."

Welcome to the Wolves, Drew McCandless!
