Wolves Forward Connor Stokes Commits to Worcester State University

The West Chester Wolves NCDC program is proud to announce that forward Connor Stokes has committed to Worcester State University (NCAA Division III) for the 2026–2027 season.
A native of Easton, Maryland, Stokes has been a reliable presence in the Wolves lineup, bringing a hard-nosed,physical,fast pace style,with a team-first approach every time he hits the ice. The 6’0”, 190 pound forward has competed at multiple high levels throughout his career, including time in the NOJHL with the Soo Thunderbirds before joining the Wolves. Connor has been the Assistant Captain for two seasons providing valuable leadership both on and off the ice for the Wolves.
During the 2024–25 season, Stokes recorded 13 points in 51 games while playing a key role in the team’s depth, defensive play, Penalty Kill, and physical side of the game. He followed that up in the 2025–26 season by continuing to contribute in a supporting role, showcasing his work ethic and commitment to the team’s identity.

“Connor is the type of player every team needs,” said Head Coach & GM R.C. Lyke. “He brings effort, consistency, and a willingness to do the little things that don’t always show up on the scoresheet. Worcester State is getting a high character young man with an exceptional work ethic and compete level that leads every day and puts the team first.”
Associate Head Coach Tyler Casillo added, “Stokes earned this opportunity through his work ethic and character. He’s a great teammate, he shows up ready to compete every night. He has continued to grow his game during his time here. We’re excited to see what he does at the next level.”
Worcester State University competes in NCAA Division III and provides a strong academic and athletic environment for student-athletes to continue their development both on and off the ice.
The Wolves organization congratulates Connor and his family on this achievement and looks forward to following his continued success at the collegiate level.
