After defeating the Hershey Cubs in Round 1 of the USPHL Premier Atlantic Division Playoffs, the Wolves now prepare for a new challenge as they host the PAL Junior Islanders in Round 2 at PNY Sports Arena.
The best-of-three series begins Friday afternoon in West Chester before continuing Saturday night. If necessary, a decisive Game 3 will be played Sunday afternoon.
Playoff Schedule – Round 2 vs PAL Junior Islanders
Fri, Mar. 13 – 1:00 PM – Game 1 – PNY Sports Arena
Sat, Mar. 14 – 7:00 PM – Game 2 – PNY Sports Arena
Sun, Mar. 15 – 2:00 PM – Game 3 (If Necessary) – PNY Sports Arena
West Chester advanced after a strong opening round against Hershey, earning back-to-back wins on home ice. The Wolves claimed a 4–3 victory in Game 1 before closing the series with a 4–0 win in Game 2 to secure the sweep and punch their ticket to the second round.
Several Wolves stood out offensively in the opening series. Forward Markus Lunski led the charge with a hat trick, including a power play marker and the eventual game-winning goal in Game 1. His ability to generate offense in key moments has made him one of the Wolves’ most dangerous players heading into the next round.
Another player to watch is Parker Jordan, who played an important role in the series with three assists and consistent pressure in the offensive zone. His playmaking helped drive the Wolves’ attack in Game 2 and will be key as West Chester looks to break down a strong PAL lineup.
Between the pipes, Peter Burke was steady when called upon, making 24 saves in the Game 2 victory to help secure the shutout win and close out the series. His calm presence in net gives the Wolves confidence as the intensity ramps up in Round 2.
Now the focus turns to the PAL Junior Islanders, a familiar Atlantic Division opponent and a team known for its speed and structure. With home ice advantage and momentum from the first round, the Wolves will look to continue their playoff run in front of the West Chester crowd.
Puck drops Friday afternoon at PNY Sports Arena as the Wolves hunt for a spot in the next round of the USPHL Premier playoffs.
