The West Chester Wolves are proud to announce that USPHL Premier captain Max McKay has committed to Niagara University, continuing his hockey career at the collegiate level.
A native of Rochester, NY, McKay has been a cornerstone of the Wolves lineup and a driving force behind the team’s success this season. The 6’1” 190 pound forward took his game to another level in 2025-26, posting an impressive 77 points (27G, 50A) in 44 regular season games, followed by 13 points in 10 playoff contests. His leadership, consistency, and offensive production played a major role in the Wolves’ run as Atlantic Division Champions and their first-ever trip to Nationals.

Serving as captain, McKay set the tone both on and off the ice. His ability to elevate teammates, compete in all situations, and deliver in key moments made him one of the most impactful players in the USPHL Premier this season. Max appeared in 88 games with the Wolves Premier team scoring 42 goals and adding 73 assists for 115 points. Max also appeared in 6 games for the Wolves Ncdc team adding 2 assists for 2 points.
“Max has been the heartbeat of our team all year,” said Head Coach Brian Leonard. “His leadership, work ethic, and ability to produce offensively made him one of the top players in our league. He’s earned this opportunity at Niagara, and we’re excited to see him take the next step in his career.”
McKay’s path to Niagara reflects years of development and dedication, from standout performances in New York high school hockey to becoming one of the top forwards in junior hockey. His commitment is another example of the Wolves’ continued success in advancing players to the next level.
