Wolves Sign Swedish Center Anton Berg for Inaugural Season

The West Chester Wolves have made a significant addition to their roster for the upcoming 2024-2025 season, announcing the signing of 20-year-old Swedish center, Anton Berg. This signing marks a strategic move for the Wolves as they prepare for their inaugural season, bringing in a player with a blend of youth, talent, and international experience.

Berg's development was shaped significantly during his time with the Malmö Redhawks organization. Over the past three seasons, he played in both the J18 Region and J20 Nationell leagues, demonstrating his growth and adaptability in increasingly competitive environments. In the 2021-2022 season, Berg split his time between the Malmö Redhawks J18 and J20 teams. In the J18 Region, he posted an impressive 24 points (12 goals, 12 assists) in 30 games. Moving up to the J20 Nationell, he continued to contribute with 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) in 13 games and added another 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) during the relegation round.

The 2022-2023 season saw Berg solidify his position with the Malmö Redhawks J20 team, appearing in 40 games and recording 10 points (2 goals, 8 assists). He also participated in the playoffs, gaining valuable experience despite not registering any points in the 3 games played. His final season with the Redhawks in 2023-2024 saw Berg improve his offensive output, tallying 16 points (6 goals, 10 assists) in 49 games. During the relegation round, he added 3 more points (3 goals) in 6 games. Berg also gained brief experience with IK Pantern in Division 2, contributing 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) in 4 games while on loan.
