The West Chester Wolves NCDC squad made a statement at Revolution Ice Centre this past weekend, taking down the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Knights in back-to-back games to earn a clean sweep on the road. Strong goaltending, clutch scoring, and disciplined play powered West Chester through both matchups as they continue to establish themselves as a top program in their second full NCDC season.

Game 1: Wolves 3 – Knights 2 (Sept. 25)

Thursday’s opener came down to the wire, but the Wolves held strong to escape with a 3–2 victory.

Grant Lucas opened the scoring midway through the second, finishing off a setup from Eric McHale and Stryker Foster. Just four minutes later, Nico Pasquale buried another goal with help from Drew McCandless and Philip Gamper to give West Chester a 2–0 cushion.

The Knights answered before the period was out, cutting the lead to one. In the third, Wilkes-Barre tied the game at 2–2, but the Wolves delivered when it mattered most. With no time left on the clock, McHale netted the game-winner off a feed from Cole Jackson, sealing a thrilling finish for West Chester.

Goaltender Sebastian Pribula stopped 36 shots, locking down the crease and securing his first road win of the season

Game 2: Wolves 3 – Knights 0 (Sept. 27)

Saturday’s rematch was all Wolves from start to finish, as they shut out the Knights 3–0 to complete the sweep.

Lukas Holmgren set the tone early with a first-period strike on a great setup from Stryker Foster and Cole Jackson. Markus Lunski doubled the lead in the second, scoring his first NCDC goal on the PP off a feed from Maddox Goudie and Cole Leblanc. Alec Alfieri put the finishing touch on the night with a third-period tally to close out the scoring, giving the Wolves more than enough insurance.

Between the pipes, Koen Webber recorded his first career NCDC shutout, turning aside all 32 Knights shots, to backstop the Wolves to victory. His performance, combined with the Wolves’ stingy defense, silenced Wilkes-Barre and capped off a dominant team win.
