The West Chester Wolves are excited to announce the tendering of Hugo Claesson for the upcoming 2024-2025 season in the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC). Claesson, a native of Stockholm, Sweden, brings an impressive track record and a strong presence on the ice that the Wolves eagerly anticipate will bolster their lineup.
Claesson's development over the years is noteworthy. In the 2019-2020 season, he played for SDE HF U16, recording 5 points in 18 games. He continued with SDE HF in the J18 Region, where his defensive skills were highlighted. Claesson's resilience and growth were evident as he moved up the ranks, culminating in a stellar 2023-2024 season with Nacka HK J20. Here, he notched an impressive 33 points in 34 games, showcasing his offensive capabilities alongside his defensive reliability.
Head Coach R.C. Lyke expressed his enthusiasm for Claesson's addition to the team: "Hugo brings a unique blend of size, skill, and hockey IQ that we are thrilled to incorporate into our roster. His performance in Sweden has been exceptional, and we believe his presence will have a significant impact on our team's success this season."
The 2024-2025 season is shaping up to be an exciting one for the West Chester Wolves, and the arrival of Anton Berg is just the beginning. Make sure to follow the Wolves on Instagram and X at WC_Wolves for future updates on the upcoming season.
