The West Chester Wolves NCDC are gearing up for their final games before Christmas break, hitting the road Friday afternoon before returning to PNY Sports Arena for a late-night showdown on Saturday. With momentum building and key players heating up, the Wolves will look to finish strong heading into the holiday pause.
Friday, Dec. 19 — Road Game vs. Hitmen | 1:00 PM
The weekend opens with a tough road matchup against the Hitmen. West Chester will be tested early against a team that’s shown it can produce offense against top competition. The Wolves have won 2 games and lost 2 games in the season series in 4 games so far against the Hitmen this season. This pivotal 5th game in the season series between these two teams will indicate who takes control in this heated Atlantic division rivalry.
For the Wolves, Stryker Foster is one to watch after finding the back of the net in the last outing against the Rockets. Between the pipes, Kasen Mainberger continues to settle in after joining the squad from the Anaheim Jr. Ducks, already posting two wins in his first two games with the Wolves. On the backend, Harrison Kinne brings confidence after a two-goal performance against the Mercer Chiefs, adding punch to the Wolves’ attack. The Wolves offense will look to stay hot and leading the Pack is the red hot line of Emil Szepesi, Reece Allman, and Tomas Prbyl.
The Hitmen will counter with Ian Krises, who scored in his last game against the first-place Rockets, and David Ambuhl, who netted two goals in his recent matchup against the Knights.
Saturday, Dec. 20 — Home Game vs. Knights | 8:00 PM
The Wolves return home Saturday night for a prime-time clash with the Knights at PNY Sports Arena. It’s the final chance for the Wolves to defend home ice before the holiday break, and the energy is expected to be high.
West Chester will once again lean on its offensive depth and strong goaltending, while the Knights bring threats of their own. Connor Lawrence and Cameron O’Connell both scored in their last game against the Islanders, giving the Knights confidence heading into the matchup.
With two different tests on deck — one on the road and one at home — the Wolves have an opportunity to make a statement and head into Christmas break on a high note.
