The West Chester Wolves are gearing up for a busy stretch with three games this week as they take on the P.A.L. Junior Islanders, Mercer Chiefs, and Rockets Hockey Club. The Wolves face P.A.L. at home on Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 1:00 PM at PNY Sports Arena, followed by matchups against Mercer on Friday, Dec. 12 at 1:00 PM and the Rockets on Saturday, Dec. 13 at 3:30 PM, both played at Revolution Ice Gardens. All games can be streamed live on USPHL+ at BlackBearSports.tv, giving fans a chance to catch every Wolves shift in real time.
West Chester returns to game action for the first time since late November, looking to build off their growing structure and compete level. The Wolves have already seen plenty of P.A.L., Mercer, and the Rockets this season, and each matchup has revealed areas of improvement and opportunities to close the gap. With fresh legs and familiar opponents ahead, this week presents a chance for the Wolves to take a step forward and turn tight games into wins.
Against the P.A.L. Junior Islanders, the Wolves will look to generate sustained pressure and find the timely offense needed to break through a team that plays a very disciplined, defensive hockey game. Their earlier meetings were tight and competitive games, setting the stage for another close battle on Wednesday afternoon.
Friday’s showdown with the Mercer Chiefs brings a rivalry matchup back into focus. The season series sits at 2–1- 1 in favor of the Wolves. Mercer claimed the most recent meeting between the teams in November in a very physical matchup. We expect another physical, fast, and high-energy game as the Wolves look to extend the series lead with the Chiefs.
The week wraps up on Saturday as the Wolves take on the Rockets Hockey Club, a team that thrives on speed, forechecking, and transition chances. West Chester will aim to slow the game down, win puck battles, and control the middle of the ice to generate momentum and success in the final game of the three game weekend.
With three familiar opponents on the schedule, this week provides the Wolves multiple opportunities to build confidence, execute their system, and push for strong results. Fans won’t want to miss the action as the Wolves return to the ice and look to make a strong push up in the Atlantic standings.
